Course Details

This qualification is for people who want to work as educators in centre-based and family day care. Students will learn how to use organisation policies, procedures and individual children’s profiles to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes. Students will learn to provide for the care and education of children and babies in their care under the guidance of a supervisor. This will include:
  • Planning activities
  • Facilitating play
  • Assisting with routines
  • Enabling children to develop in a safe and healthy environment
The course covers workers who use organisation policies, procedures and individual children’s profiles to assist in planning activities and providing care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes.
